Prawns Masala

6 to 8 garlic cloves

½ teaspoon pepper

2 green chilies

1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder
500 grams prawn
salt
¼ teaspoon garam masala

Take sesame oil in a wide kadai and heat it. Add mustard seeds, fennel seeds and saute.

Add finely chopped onions, green chilies and saute until they are golden brown in color for 5 mins.

Add ginger garlic paste and mix well. After 30 seconds, add chopped tomatoes and saute for 5 mins.

Then add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well.

Once the gravy is thick, add water, mix well and cook until the oil is separated from the gravy.

Add cleaned and deveined prawns. Mix well, add cumin powder, fresh curry leaves, mix again, cover and cook for 5 mins on a medium flame.

After 5 mins, cook until the gravy is reduced to a thick consistency.

Add pepper powder, fresh curry leaves and mix. Lastly add finely chopped coriander leaves and mix it all well.
