Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat.

Turn the heat back to medium and add half a tablespoon of chili sauce and 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup, mix well and fry for 10-20 seconds.

Add 300 ml of water and half a teaspoon of sugar, mix well and cover with a lid.

Increase heat to medium-high and bring the sauce to a boil.

Once boiling, add 500 g of prawns that have been deveined and split open, spread them out, and cover again.

Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes, then stir lightly.

Thicken the sauce with a cornstarch solution, then add in 1 beaten egg and stir lightly to combine.
