In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, semolina, baking powder, and salt. Add oil and mix well.

Gradually add water to form a smooth and firm dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.

In a pan, heat a little oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the soaked and drained moong dal.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur, and salt. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the dal is soft and the mixture is dry. Let it cool.

Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a small circle.

Place a spoonful of the dal mixture in the center of each circle. Fold the edges over to seal the filling inside.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Once hot, gently slide in the kachoris and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Remove the kachoris and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
