1

Take some thick yogurt and hang it in a muslin cloth to remove excess moisture if it's not thick enough.

2

Add chili powder, a pinch of kasturi methi powder, salt, lime or lemon juice, and oil to the yogurt and mix into a fine paste.

3

Add cut tomato, bell pepper, onion, and paneer to the marinade and mix well.

4

In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds until they sizzle.

5

Add one big chopped onion (or two small onions) and some salt to cook faster until slightly transparent.

6

Add a pinch of turmeric and cook the onions until they are slightly golden.

7

Add ginger garlic paste to the onions and cook it well.

8

Add half a teaspoon of all-purpose flour (maida) to the pan to help create a silky sauce.

9

Add 1 cup of tomato puree to the pan and mix well.

10

Add 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, half a teaspoon of cumin powder, and half a teaspoon of chili powder to the mixture and mix until oil starts to separate from the sides.

11

Add enough water to make a thin gravy and bring it to a boil.

12

In a non-stick pan, add oil and cook the marinated paneer, turning it to cook evenly on both sides.

13

Move the cooked paneer to one side of the pan and add cut cubes of tomato to the other side to prevent them from getting mashed.

14

Once the paneer is cooked, add it to the sauce and mix well.

15

Add garam masala powder to the sauce and adjust the consistency with more water if needed.

16

Finish the sauce with cream, adding it little by little until the desired consistency is reached.

17

Adjust seasoning with more salt if necessary and check flavors before serving.

18

Garnish with chopped coriander before serving.
