Ingredients
- ●500 grams paneer (cottage cheese)
- ●1 cup thick yogurt
- ●2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- ●2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ●2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ●1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ●1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ●1 teaspoon garam masala
- ●1 teaspoon red chili powder
- ●1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- ●1 teaspoon salt
- ●1 bell pepper, cut into cubes
- ●1 onion, cut into cubes
- ●1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, combine the thick yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, vegetable oil, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to create a marinade.
- 2Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- 3Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
- 4Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers, alternating between the ingredients.
- 5Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
- 6Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- 7Garnish with chopped fresh coriander before serving.
- 8Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
