1

Heat a skillet and add 3 tablespoons of olive oil.

2

Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

3

Add 1 tablespoon of garlic paste and 0.5 tablespoon of ginger paste, sauté for a couple of minutes until raw flavor is gone.

4

Add 0.5 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1 tablespoon of kashmiri chili powder, and 1 teaspoon of garam masala. Sauté until the spices cook the onions.

5

Add 1 pound of ground beef, season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Mix until beef is coated with spices and break down large chunks.

6

Add 1.5 tablespoons of sugar and 0.25 cup of vinegar to the beef, mix and allow to cook until it absorbs the juices.

7

Add 0.5 cup of freshly chopped cilantro, mix and take off the heat.

8

Transfer the cooked beef to a bowl and let it cool completely.

9

Prepare an egg wash by cracking 1 egg and adding approximately 1 tablespoon of heavy cream. Whisk until combined.

10

Dust the work surface with flour and use pre-rolled puff pastry sheets that have been defrosted.

11

Cut the pastry sheets into three sections, then cut each section in half to get six puff patties from one sheet.

12

Take one piece of puff pastry, add a spoonful of cooled ground beef to one end, and brush the edges with egg wash to seal.

13

Fold the puff pastry over the filling, press the edges to seal, and place on a lined baking sheet.

14

Brush the tops of the patties with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

15

Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and crispy.
