Prepare the sugar syrup by boiling 3 cups of sugar with 4 cups of water until dissolved. Add 4 tsp of rose water, 2 tsp of kewra water, and crushed cardamom to the syrup. Set aside to cool.

2

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of khoya, 1/2 cup of grated paneer, and 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour. Mix well until a dough forms.

3

Add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, 2 tbsp of finely chopped cashew, a few saffron strands, and 2 tsp of lemon juice to the dough. Knead until smooth.

4

Heat ghee or oil in a pan for frying.

5

Form small balls from the dough and carefully drop them into the hot ghee/oil. Fry until they turn golden brown.

6

Once fried, remove the balls and soak them in the prepared sugar syrup for a few minutes before serving.
