Kala Jamun

1 cup Milk Powder
1 tbsp Rava (semolina/sooji)
2 & 1/2 tbsp Plain flour/maida
1/4 tsp Baking powder
1 tbsp Ghee
1/4 cup Milk or as required
Red food colour (optional)
1 & 1/2 cup Sugar
1 & 1/2 cup Water
4 Green cardamom (elaichi)
few Saffron strands

In a mixing bowl, combine milk powder, rava, plain flour, baking powder, and ghee.

Gradually add milk to the dry ingredients and knead to form a smooth dough.

Divide the dough into small balls and set aside.

In a saucepan, combine sugar and water to make sugar syrup, adding green cardamom and saffron strands.

Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the dough balls until golden brown.

Soak the fried balls in the sugar syrup for a few hours before serving.
