Defrost spring roll pastry wrappers for 30 minutes if frozen.
Coat a banana in brown sugar.
Place the coated banana in a spring roll wrapper.
Add jackfruit to the wrapper (optional).
Wrap the banana and jackfruit tightly in the spring roll wrapper, using a little water to seal it.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan until ready for deep-frying.
Deep-fry the wrapped turon on each side for a few minutes, adjusting heat as necessary to avoid burning.
Transfer the fried turon to a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet to drain excess oil.
Melt butter in a pan and add brown sugar, stirring until it reaches a boil.
Add a pinch of salt and baking soda to the caramel sauce and mix well.
Coat the fried turon in the caramel sauce by placing them directly into the sauce.
