Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes, then drain.

Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.

Add cashews and almonds, sauté until golden brown, then remove and set aside.

In the same pot, add the soaked rice and toast for 2-3 minutes.

Pour in milk and water, stirring to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
