3 cups fresh whole milk
2 tablespoons ghee
4 to 5 teaspoons sugar

Soak 1 cup of basmati rice for half an hour.

Melt 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan to coat the bottom.

Add 3 cups of fresh whole milk to the pan.

Once the milk is boiling, add the soaked basmati rice.

Cook until the rice is nice and tender, stirring occasionally for about 7 minutes.

Add 4 to 5 teaspoons of sugar and mixed nuts to the rice mixture.

Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until thickened.

Add 1 cardamom and cook for 3 more minutes.

Turn off the heat and let it cool for 30 minutes.
