Teriyaki Salmon

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp minced ginger
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp cornstarch

Preheat air fryer to 400°F.

Take a frozen salmon fillet and a pre-seasoned skey burger out of the package.

Place the skey burger in the air fryer basket without seasoning.

Brush a little olive oil onto the skey burger, rubbing it front and back.

Do not oil the salmon fillet; instead, place it in the air fryer basket as well.

Cook the salmon fillet and skey burger in the air fryer for 5 minutes to partially cook them and melt off the ice glaze.

While the salmon is cooking, prepare a simple teriyaki-style sauce by heating minced garlic and ginger in a pan over medium heat.

Add a mix of soy sauce and water to the pan, creating a thinned-out soy sauce.

Eyeball and add a couple tablespoons of honey (or maple syrup) to the sauce.

Add about a tablespoon and a half of rice vinegar to the sauce for acidity.

Prepare a cornstarch slurry by mixing equal parts cornstarch and water in a separate bowl.

Once the sauce is simmering, whisk in the cornstarch slurry to thicken it.
