Teriyaki Salmon

6 oz salmon
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup mirin
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water

Preheat the air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes.

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup mirin, 1/4 cup water, and 3 tablespoons sugar.

Add 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon red pepper to the mixture and mix well.

In a separate small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water.

Turn on the heat and add the sugar, soy sauce, and mirin mixture to a pan.

Add the cornstarch mixture to the pan and stir until combined and thickened.

Place the salmon in the air fryer and brush half of the sauce onto the salmon.

Spray or brush some oil in the air fryer basket before placing the salmon inside.

Air fry the salmon at 400°F for 10 minutes.

At the halfway point (5 minutes), remove the salmon and brush more sauce on top.

Continue air frying for another 5 minutes until the fish is cooked.
