1

Heat Emami healthy and tasty mustard oil on high flame.

2

Marinate the rohu fish with salt and turmeric powder.

3

Fry the marinated fish pieces in the hot mustard oil until cooked, then transfer to a plate.

4

In the same oil, add bay leaves, whole red chilies, and whole green chilies.

5

Add a paste of red onions, ginger, and garlic; sauté on high flame until the oil begins to release from the sides of the pan.

6

Add whole garam masala: cloves, green cardamom, and sticks of cinnamon.

7

Once the onions turn golden brown, add tomato puree.

8

Add roasted coriander seeds powder, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, and a touch of sugar; mix well.

9

Add whipped curds and season with salt, considering the fish was already salted.

10

Add half a cup of water and mix well; this will be the last time to use the ladle.

11

Gently add the fried fish to the pan and cook on high flame for 5-7 minutes without stirring, only swirling the liquid.

12

Serve the Rohu Kalia.
