Coconut Oil - 2 tbsp
Shallots - 100 g
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Garlic pods - 5
Few curry leaves
Green chillies - 4
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder - 4 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Thin coconut milk - 1.5 Cups
Thick coconut milk - 3/4 cup
Cocum (kudampuli) - 3 pieces
salt to taste
Coconut Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Dry Chilli - 3-4
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Shallots - 4
Few curry leaves

Prepare the fish steaks and set aside.

In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil and sauté chopped shallots, ginger, garlic, and green chillies until fragrant.

Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, chilly powder, and coriander powder; stir well.

Pour in the thin coconut milk and bring to a simmer.

Add the fish steaks and cocum pieces; cook until the fish is done.

Once cooked, add the thick coconut milk and salt to taste; mix gently.

In a separate small pan, prepare the tadka by heating 1 tbsp of coconut oil, adding mustard seeds, dry chillies, fenugreek seeds, and shallots until golden.

Pour the tadka over the fish curry before serving.
