Fish Molee

500 gm King fish
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Lemon juice
1 tsp Salt
1 cup Onion, sliced
1/2 cup Tomato, sliced
1/2 tsp Ginger, crushed
1/2 tsp Garlic, crushed
1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
1 cup Coconut milk
1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
2 sprig Curry leaves
3 Green chilies, slit
2 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tbsp coriander, chopped

Wash and clean the fish and pat dry it.

Marinade the fish with turmeric, lemon juice and 1/2 tsp salt for 15-20 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and slightly fry the marinated fish and keep it aside.

In the same pan add the mustard seeds and curry leaves and let them splutter.

Add ginger and garlic and saute till the raw smell goes away.

Add the onions, green chilies and saute till onion gets soft and translucent.

Add the tomatoes and saute for a minute. (Note: Do not mash the tomatoes).

Add the pepper powder and 1/2 tsp salt and saute for a min.

Add the coconut milk, mix well and let it come for a boil.

Lower the heat and add the fried fish pieces carefully.

Mix it gently, cover and cook the fish for more 10 mins or till its fully cooked.
