Incorporate salt, vinegar, and seasoning cubes into the sauce.
Add dried fish and bay leaves, and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Stir in lime juice and sugar to balance flavors.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly before storing.
Transfer to a jar and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
