cloves (powdered)
powdered pepper
ginger (fresh, blended)

Wash the ripe plantains.

Cut the plantains into Kelewele shape, splitting them in half and cutting at an angle.

Prepare the spice mixture with grains of paradise, powdered cloves, powdered pepper, fresh blended ginger with onion, and mix well.

Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the spice mixture to help create crunch and prevent sticking.

Add half a teaspoon of salt to the mixture, adjusting to taste.

Cover the mixture and let it sit in the fridge for 20 minutes to enhance flavor.

Spread the plantain mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Preheat the oven to 180 to 190 degrees Celsius using the fan force option.

Place the baking tray in the middle of the oven for even heat distribution.

Bake the plantains until they are browned nicely, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
