1 standard size can of chickpeas (15.5 oz)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons crushed garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons peanut butter
water (as needed)
smoked paprika (for garnish)
chives (for garnish)

Drain the liquid from the can of chickpeas and rinse the beans.

Add the chickpeas to a food processor.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, 2 tablespoons of crushed garlic, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the food processor.

Add 2 teaspoons of peanut butter to the mixture.

Blend all ingredients in the food processor until creamy.

Check the consistency; if too dry, add one teaspoon of water at a time until desired creaminess is achieved.

Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning if necessary (more salt or garlic can be added).

Transfer the hummus to a Tupperware container for storage.
