Dal Dhokla

Chana dal- 2 tbsp
Moong dal- 2 tbsp
Urad dal- 2 tbsp
Green chili
Ginger
Cumin
Salt
Turmeric
Oil
Mustard seed

Soak the rice and mixed dals (chana dal, moong dal, urad dal) in water for a few hours or overnight to ferment.

Grind the soaked ingredients into a smooth batter, adding water as needed.

Add chopped green chili, ginger, cumin, salt, and turmeric to the batter and mix well.

Grease a steaming tray or dish with oil.

Pour the batter into the greased tray.

In a small pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and hing until fragrant, then pour this tempering over the batter.

Steam the batter for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.

Allow to cool slightly, then cut into pieces and serve.
