Upma

1 cup semolina (rava)
2 cups water
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
2 green chilies, chopped
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal (split black gram)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Add urad dal and cumin seeds, sauté until golden brown.

Add chopped onions and green chilies, sauté until onions are translucent.

Add chopped tomatoes and green peas, cook for 2-3 minutes.

Stir in turmeric powder and salt.

Add water and bring to a boil.

Slowly add semolina while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Cook for 3-4 minutes until the semolina absorbs water and becomes fluffy.

Remove from heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
