1

Prepare the sugar syrup by combining 2 cups sugar and 3 cups water in a pot.

2

Add 5-6 crushed green cardamom and a few saffron threads to the syrup.

3

Cook the syrup on medium flame for about 4-5 minutes until ready.

4

In a separate bowl, mash 1/2 cup khoya until soft.

5

Gradually add 2-3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the khoya and mix well.

6

Add 1 teaspoon baking powder and mix until the dough is smooth and crack-free.

7

Cover the dough with a cloth to prevent it from drying out and let it rest for 20 minutes.

8

After resting, shape the dough into small balls, ensuring they are smooth and crack-free.

9

Heat oil in a deep pan and test the temperature with a small piece of dough.

10

Fry the balls in batches, stirring gently to ensure even cooking, until they are golden brown.

11

Remove the fried balls and soak them in the prepared sugar syrup for about 1 hour.
