1

In a bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of salt, stirring quickly.

2

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons of yeast to the flour mixture, stirring again.

3

Pour in 2 tablespoons of oil and 1 cup of warm milk (between 110 to 130°F).

4

Knead the dough, adding about 1 tablespoon of water if necessary, until soft and bouncy.

5

Cover the dough with butter or oil and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.

6

Once risen, divide the dough into 8 pieces and keep them covered to prevent drying out.

7

Roll out one piece of dough, sprinkling grated garlic, black sesame seeds, and chopped cilantro on top before rolling it out again to incorporate these toppings.

8

Preheat a cast iron skillet (tawa) until hot before placing the naan on it.

9

Apply a generous amount of water to the back of the naan and place it water-side down onto the hot skillet.

10

Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip the naan to cook the other side, using direct flame to achieve brown spots.

11

Brush the hot naan with butter before serving.
