Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add turmeric powder, salt, and ginger garlic paste. Mix and add the fish. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Take out the fish. Shred it into small pieces using your hands or using a fork. Remove the bones.

Heat oil in a pan. Add the garlic, ginger, green chilli, and onion. Saute until it turns translucent. Add the red chilli flakes and black pepper powder.

Add the fish and turn off the heat, once it has cooled down slightly. Add breadcrumbs and eggs. Mix until evenly combined.

Add more salt. Shape this mixture into balls.

In a bowl, mix together eggs and water for the coating. Keep breadcrumbs ready in another bowl. This is for the coating.

Coat the fish balls first in the egg mixture using a fork, then in the breadcrumbs. Coat evenly.

Deep-fry on high heat until it turns golden brown and crisp on the outside.

Serve with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise.
