500 grams lauki (bottle gourd), peeled and diced
300 grams mutton or goat meat, cut into pieces
2 medium onions, finely sliced
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
2-3 green chilies, slit
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Heat oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.

Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for another minute.

Add the mutton pieces and sauté until they are browned on all sides.

Mix in the chopped tomatoes, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.

Add the diced lauki and mix well with the meat and spices.

Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients, close the lid, and cook under pressure for about 20-25 minutes or until the meat is tender.

Once done, release the pressure and check the consistency. If too watery, simmer uncovered until desired thickness is achieved.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
