1 cup tomato passata
500g ground beef
1 beef stock cube
1 tablespoon honey
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon paprika
2 bird's-eye chilies
3 cardamom pods
1 piece cassia bark (cinnamon)
2 bay leaves
1 onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon minced ginger
handful of herbs (cilantro and parsley)
salt to taste

Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick wok.

Add chopped onions, minced garlic, and minced ginger; cover with a lid for 10 minutes to soften.

After 5 minutes, stir and squash cardamom pods to release flavor.

Add ground beef and cook for 6-7 minutes until completely cooked, breaking up lumps.

Stir in Kashmiri chili powder, chopped bird's-eye chilies, paprika, turmeric, coriander, and cumin; cook for 3 minutes.

Add tomato passata and mix well.

Dissolve the beef stock cube in 1/2 cup of warm water and add to the mixture; reduce for 15 minutes with the lid on.

After 5 minutes, add the washed chickpeas and cover for another 5 minutes.

Stir in a chunk of honey and reduce for another 5 minutes until desired consistency is reached.
