In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, set aside.

In another mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, cooking oil and milk until well combined.

Pour the milk mixture into the well of the flour mixture, and gently whisk together until just incorporated.

Heat a frying pan on medium heat, brush the pan bottom with the butter. Spoon in 1 big spoon of the flour mixture. Cook the pancake until bubbles begin, flip the pancake over and continue to cook another side for about 1 minute per side.

Place the pancakes into a serving plate and serve.
