Originating from Tunisia, the Tunisian Plate showcases the country’s rich culinary heritage, influenced by Mediterranean and North African flavors. Traditionally served during gatherings and celebrations, it reflects the communal spirit of Tunisian dining. Today, variations of the dish can be found globally, often adapted to local tastes while maintaining the essence of Tunisian cuisine.

Canned beans are convenient and cost-effective.
Grill 9 bell peppers, 1 tomato, 1 onion, and 1 head of garlic.
Mix grilled vegetables manually or with an electric appliance until well combined.
Add 1 tablespoon coriander and extra virgin olive oil to the mixture and mix well.
Cut 10 small potatoes or 3 large ones into cubes and boil them until softened.
Cut 6 carrots into pieces and prepare for the salad.
Cut half a cucumber, 1 onion, and 1 tomato into small cubes for the Tunisian salad.
For the garlic sauce, mix 6 garlic cloves with some lemon juice and salt.
In a bowl, combine the tomatoes, cucumber, onion, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon dried mint, and 1/2 lemon juice; mix well.
Spread homemade harissa on the plate, then add the salad and seasoned potatoes.
Break 1 egg in the center of the plate and place it in boiling water for 10 minutes after turning off the heat.
Add the tuna, garlic sauce, pickled peppers, and olives to the plate.
