2 teaspoons corn flour
½ tablespoon + 1 teaspoon + ½ tablespoon + ½ tablespoon groundnut oil, separate use
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 medium carrots, cut in a fine dice
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 knob ginger, about ½-inch, peeled and sliced into thin rounds
1 medium green bell pepper (capsicum), diced
½ cup green peas, thawed if frozen, or steamed if fresh
¾ teaspoon black pepper powder
½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
3 cups cooked rice, preferably cooked the previous day and chilled in the refrigerator
1 tablespoon light soya sauce, or to taste
1½ teaspoons chinese sesame oil
3 tablespoons spring onion, sliced at an angle, to garnish
