Pork Siomai

250 grams ground pork
100 grams chopped shrimp
2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 piece chicken or duck egg
80 grams chopped carrots
4 cloves minced garlic
2 tablespoon cornstarch or corn flour
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 medium sized onion
5 grams onion leeks or spring onion
2 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame or vegetable oil
1 teaspoon white or brown sugar
Wanton or Siomai wrapper

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, ground black pepper, egg, chopped carrots, minced garlic, cornstarch, fish sauce, chopped onion, onion leeks, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and sugar.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

Take a siomai wrapper and place a spoonful of the mixture in the center.

Fold the wrapper around the filling, leaving the top open.

Repeat until all the mixture is used up.

Steam the siomai for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
