Caribbean Curry Goat has its roots in the culinary traditions of the Caribbean islands, particularly among the Afro-Caribbean communities. This dish is often prepared for special occasions and gatherings, celebrating the rich flavors and spices of the region. Today, it is enjoyed not only in the Caribbean but also in various parts of the world, where its bold and aromatic profile has captivated food lovers everywhere.

Homemade blends can be tailored to taste and are often cheaper.
Add 1/2 tablespoon black pepper to the goat meat.
Add 1 tablespoon spicy steak seasoning to the goat meat.
Add 1 tablespoon Maggi all-purpose seasoning to the goat meat.
Add 1/2 tablespoon chili powder to the goat meat.
Add 1 tablespoon minced garlic to the goat meat.
Add 1 tablespoon minced ginger to the goat meat.
Add chopped onions, scallion, scotch bonnet pepper, and thyme to the goat meat.
Crush pimento seeds and add to the goat meat.
Rub the seasonings into the goat meat and let it marinate for about 1 hour.
Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pot.
Add 4 pieces of chopped garlic to the oil and let it cook briefly.
Add 2 tablespoons of curry powder to the pot and stir to let it brown.
Add the marinated goat meat to the pot and stir to blend the curry with the meat.
Cover the pot and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
Stir the meat again to ensure the curry is well blended.
Add water to the pot, using the same seasoning base to wash out the remaining seasonings from the meat.
Continue adding water as needed until the meat is tender.
After cooking for over an hour, add chopped carrots, Irish potatoes, onions, scallion, and thyme for re-seasoning.
Add a bit more water and cover the pot to finish cooking.
Turn off the stove once the curry goat is finished cooking.
