Evaporated milk is a cost-effective alternative that still adds creaminess.
Use boneless goat meat for this recipe; you can also use goat meat with bones if preferred.
Slice up carrots for the recipe.
Marinate the goat meat with all ingredients mentioned including red grape juice, lamb stock, cinnamon sticks, beef seasoning, onions, garlic, ginger, olive oil, Browning, tomato paste, tapioca starch, pink salt, nutmeg, black pepper, green seasoning, bay leaves, cloves, and thyme.
Wrap the marinated goat meat and leave it to marinate overnight or for several hours.
Heat a large frying pan or skillet and add olive oil.
Add the goat meat to the frying pan and sear it for about 15 minutes, allowing it to give off its own juices.
Increase the heat to high to cook off the juices without burning the meat.
Transfer the seared goat meat into a slow cooker.
Add cloves, bay leaves, thyme, cinnamon sticks, grape juice, lamb stock, and tomato paste to the slow cooker, ensuring the tomato paste is fully combined with the liquid.
Optionally, add carrots now or halfway through cooking for a crunch; if you want soft carrots, add them now.
Cover the slow cooker and set it on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
Halfway through cooking, create a slurry with tapioca starch and some gravy from the goat meat, then stir it back into the slow cooker to thicken the gravy.
Add the carrots if you haven't done so already, and stir them in.
Cook for another 2 hours, or if cooking longer, add the carrots at the 3-hour mark.
After cooking for 4 hours, check the goat meat and remove cinnamon sticks, cloves, and thyme stems before serving.
