Hummus with Pita Bread

1/2 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons yeast
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon oil

1/4 cup tahini paste
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2-3 garlic cloves
black pepper

Warm 1/2 cup milk until it's slightly warm, not too hot or cold.

Add 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons yeast to the warm milk and mix well.

Let the yeast mixture sit for 15 minutes until it activates.

In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon oil, and a pinch of salt, and mix.

Pour the activated yeast mixture into the flour mixture.

Gradually add water while kneading until the dough is soft and smooth, using about 3/4 cup of water.

Knead the dough for 3-4 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 2 hours to rise.

In a blender, add 1 cup boiled chickpeas, 1/4 cup tahini paste, 3 tablespoons lemon juice, 2-3 garlic cloves, black pepper, and salt.

Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, then transfer it to a bowl.

Drizzle olive oil, sprinkle red chili powder, and garnish with finely chopped parsley on top of the hummus.

Check the risen dough; it should have doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and divide it into equal parts to make 5 pita breads.

Roll out each piece of dough on a floured surface.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the rolled pita on a baking tray.

Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

Remove the pita from the oven and apply butter on top while it's hot to make it crispy outside and soft inside.

Serve the warm pita bread with the prepared hummus.
