2 medium onions

1 teaspoon medium hot chili powder
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 cup yogurt
1.5 lbs lamb
2 cups basmati rice

Preheat hot milk and add saffron to it, setting it aside.

Melt unsalted butter in a slow cooker on sauté mode.

Add ground cinnamon, cardamom pods, black peppercorns, and whole cloves to the slow cooker and cook for 5 minutes.

Chop onion and add it to the slow cooker, cooking for another 2 minutes along with a bay leaf.

Add garlic, ground ginger, ground cumin, medium hot chili powder, ground coriander, yogurt, lamb, and half of the saffron milk to the slow cooker and mix thoroughly.

Switch off sauté mode and boil water for the rice.

Drain the basmati rice and add it to the slow cooker, spreading it evenly.

Pour the remaining saffron milk over the rice and switch the slow cooker to low mode.

Cook for 7 hours until the saffron and lamb biryani is ready.

Mix everything together after cooking and discard the bay leaf.
