Add sugar and stir until fully dissolved.
Mix in cardamom, salt, and vanilla extract for flavor.
Add saffron strands for color and aroma, stirring well.
In a small pan, toast cashews and raisins in a little ghee until golden.
Fold the toasted nuts and raisins into the halwa.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens to desired consistency.
Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm, garnished with coconut flakes and extra nuts if desired.
