Beef Haleem

1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 kg boneless beef
2 tablespoons each of chana dal, masoor dal, moong dal, rice, and daliya
1.5 to 2 liters water
1 nutmeg
1 small piece of mace
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons khoya
2-3 pieces of long cloves
3 cardamom pods
1 piece of cinnamon stick

Heat 1 cup cooking oil or ghee in a pressure cooker.

Add 3 finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Lower the flame before adding ginger and garlic to prevent burning.

Add 2 green cardamom pods, 1 teaspoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, and mix well.

Add 1/2 kg boneless beef and cook until it releases its juices and browns.

Add 2 tablespoons each of chana dal, masoor dal, moong dal, rice, and daliya that have been soaked for 2-3 hours and washed.

Pour in 1.5 to 2 liters of water and adjust as needed later.

Cook on low flame for about 25 minutes in the pressure cooker.

Add 1 nutmeg, a small piece of mace, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoons khoya, 2-3 long cloves, 3 cardamom pods, and a piece of cinnamon stick for flavor.

Roast the spices for 1.5 to 2 minutes and then cool them down before grinding.

After 25 minutes, check the consistency and mix well, adding more water if necessary to achieve desired thickness.
