Mince 6 garlic cloves using a garlic press or microplane and add to the bowl.

Whisk the mixture together until combined.

Take some French bread and smear the garlic butter mixture all over it, ensuring to get into all the corners and crevices.

Spread mayonnaise on the bread (optional but recommended).
