Waffle

1 tablespoon melted salted butter
1 egg white
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
blueberries (optional)
chocolate chips (optional)
cinnamon chips (optional)
Huckleberry syrup (for serving)

Heat up the waffle iron to its hottest setting.

Spray the waffle iron with a light coating of non-stick spray.

In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of melted salted butter.

Add in 1 egg white and mix well.

Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Pour in 1/4 cup of buttermilk and mix until combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.

Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until the batter is smooth.

If desired, fold in blueberries, chocolate chips, or cinnamon chips.

Once the waffle iron is preheated, pour the batter into the center of the waffle iron and spread it slightly with a spatula.

Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffle is golden brown and cooked through.

Carefully remove the waffle from the waffle iron.

Top the waffle with Huckleberry syrup and additional blueberries, if desired.
