1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat the waffle iron.

Spray the waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray or brush with melted butter.

Beat one large egg in a bowl until fluffy.

Add 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 tablespoon of melted butter, and 1 tablespoon of sugar to the egg and mix together well.

Whisk in 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon of salt, mixing gently until combined.

When the indicator light turns on, the waffle iron is ready.

Pour the batter onto the iron and close it.

If there is excess batter, use some of it to make a second smaller waffle.

Once the steam stops coming out of the unit, the waffle should be done.

Lift the waffle out of the waffle iron with a pair of tongs or fork.
