1 cup all-purpose flour
1 stick butter
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda

Prepare sour cream or yogurt about 10 minutes ahead of time.

Add 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom to the sour cream or yogurt and mix together.

Let the mixture sit for about 5 to 10 minutes.

In a bowl, whisk together 4 eggs and 1 cup of sugar.

Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour to the egg and sugar mixture and mix until smooth.

Add a little bit of salt and 1 stick of melted butter to the mixture.

Add the prepared sour cream mixture to the batter and gently stir it in.

Heat up the waffle iron (both a Norwegian waffle iron and a regular mini waffle iron).

Use a ladle to pour batter into the heated Norwegian waffle iron and cook for a couple of minutes until ready.

If you prefer crispier waffles, leave them in the iron a little longer; for lighter waffles, take them out before the iron indicates they're done.
