Instructions
- 1Rinse the beef liver under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2Slice the liver into steaks about 1 inch thick.
- 3Marinate the liver in soy sauce, black pepper, and lemon juice for 15-20 minutes.
- 4Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 5Add minced garlic and sliced onions to the skillet; sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6Remove the garlic and onions from the skillet and set aside.
- 7In the same skillet, add the marinated liver steaks; cook for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- 8Add butter to the skillet during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.
- 9Return the garlic and onions to the skillet, mixing well with the liver.
- 10Sprinkle with salt and additional black pepper to taste.
- 11Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with sautéed carrots and bell peppers.
