3/4 cup roasted chana dal
1/2 cup besan
1/4 cup coarse wheat flour
1/2 tbsp salt
1 tsp turmeric powder
1.5 tbsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
1/4 cup roasted Kasuri methi
3 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp soda bicarbonate
1 tbsp fennel seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1.5 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp black peppercorn
10-12 cloves
1 small piece of cinnamon stick
2 star anise(badiyan)
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 cups gota flour
1 tsp ginger chilly paste
2 tbsp coriander leaves
2 tbsp hot oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
oil to fry
some fried green chillies
1/2 cup curd mixed with sugar and salt

Prepare the spice mix by grinding fennel seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorn, cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, and sesame seeds together.

In a bowl, combine roasted chana dal, besan, coarse wheat flour, salt, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilly powder, roasted Kasuri methi, sugar, and soda bicarbonate.

Mix the prepared spice mix into the flour mixture.

To make gota, combine gota flour, ginger chilly paste, coriander leaves, hot oil, water, and milk in a bowl and mix well to form a dough.

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Shape the dough into small balls and deep fry them until golden brown.

Serve the gota with fried green chillies and curd mixed with sugar and salt.
