8-10 methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)
1 tablespoon besan (gram flour)
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 potato
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
water as needed

Take 8-10 methi leaves and wash them thoroughly.

Chop the methi leaves finely and place them in a mixing bowl.

Add 1 tablespoon of besan to the chopped methi leaves.

Add 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 potato (mashed), 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of ajwain, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients well to form a thick paste.

Add water gradually to adjust the consistency of the mixture.

Heat oil in a pan on medium flame for frying.

Once the oil is hot, take small portions of the mixture and drop them into the oil.

Fry until the gote (fritters) turn golden brown, about 4 minutes.

Remove the fried gote from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
