Stovetop Popcorn

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Turn the heat to medium-medium low on the stove.

Add 1 tablespoon of avocado oil to the pot.

Wait for the oil to heat until it thins out and moves easily around the pot.

Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt into the oil.

Place 2 or 3 popcorn kernels in the bottom of the pot and cover with a lid.

Wait for those kernels to pop, which indicates the oil is ready.

Add 3/4 cup of popcorn kernels to the pot, coating the bottom.

Give the pot a little shake and remove it from the burner for 30 seconds.

Put the pot back on the burner and let the popcorn pop without touching it.

After a couple of minutes, listen for the popping to slow down, indicating it's time to remove the pot from the heat.

Shut off the heat and move the pot to another burner, allowing any remaining pops to finish.

Optionally, add extra salt, butter, olive oil, or seasonings to taste before serving.

Transfer the popcorn into a bowl and enjoy.
