1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder

Make slits all around the Eggplant and push Garlic Cloves through the slits.

Chargrill the Eggplant on medium flame, turning it until nicely burnt and soft.

Remove the Eggplant and let it cool for at least 5 minutes, covering it with cling wrap.

Heat 2 tbsp of Oil in a pan and add 1/2 tsp of Cumin Seeds, cooking until crackling.

Add chopped Onion and sauté until soft, avoiding browning.

Add 2 chopped Tomatoes and 2 chopped Green Chillies, mixing well.

Stir in the dry spices: 1/4 tsp Asafoetida, 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder, 1/2 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tsp Coriander and Cumin Seed Powder, 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder, and Salt.

Peel the charred skin off the cooled Eggplant and mash it with a fork.

Add the mashed Eggplant to the cooked Tomato mixture along with boiled Green Peas and chopped Coriander Leaves.

Mix well and add 1/2 cup of Water to combine everything.

Adjust Salt if necessary and serve hot.
