2 cups maida (all-purpose flour)
1 cup suji/rava (semolina)
1 cup sugar/khand (jaggery)
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup almond powder
1/2 cup gole ka burada (sugar syrup)
1 glass milk
20 nos cardamom powder

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, semolina, salt, baking powder, sugar, and cardamom powder.

Gradually add water to the dry ingredients and knead to form a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

After resting, divide the dough into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).

Roll each ball into a small circle (about 3 inches in diameter) on a floured surface.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot, carefully slide one puri into the oil. Fry until it puffs up and turns golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.

Remove the puri with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Repeat the frying process for the remaining puris.

If desired, dust the puris with powdered sugar before serving.
