1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder.

Gradually add 1/4 cup of water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

After resting, divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.

Roll each ball into a thin circle, about 4-5 inches in diameter.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

Once the oil is hot, carefully slide in the rolled poori and fry until it puffs up and turns golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.

Remove the poori from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Serve the sweet poori warm.
