1

Run the clams through water to remove any excess sand or shells and place them in a bowl of water.

2

In a large pot or saucepan, add six tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and turn the stove to medium heat.

3

Wait about a minute for the oil to get hot before adding the ingredients.

4

Add two small chopped onions to the pot and mix them in.

5

Add two peeled and mashed garlic cloves to the pot and mix together.

6

Wait until the onions have softened but not browned, stirring occasionally.

7

Add half a teaspoon of paprika, two tablespoons of pepper sauce, and half a teaspoon of ground black pepper to the pot.

8

Add one cup of tomato sauce to the pot and stir to combine the ingredients.

9

Pour in half a cup of white wine and stir.

10

Add four cups of water to the pot and let it come to a boil.

11

Add about a tablespoon of salt to the boiling water for seasoning.

12

Once the water is boiling, add two and a half cups of long grain rice to the saucepan and stir.

13

Stir the rice every few minutes to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot.

14

After about five to six minutes of cooking, taste the rice for seasoning.

15

Add two tablespoons of unsalted butter to the saucepan and stir to combine.

16

Lower the heat to low to medium and add the seafood, starting with the scallops, followed by the shrimp, and finally the clams.

17

Stir to combine the seafood with the rice and let it cook for a few more minutes, checking for seasoning.

18

Add fresh chopped parsley to the saucepan and stir to combine.

19

Turn off the stove and serve the seafood rice.
