This delightful treat is not only a popular snack but also a symbol of togetherness during celebrations. Today, variations exist globally, with many adapting the recipe to include different nuts and sweeteners.

Honey provides natural sweetness, while brown sugar is more affordable.

Coconut oil is healthier, while vegetable oil is budget-friendly.
Roast 200 grams of peanuts and remove the skin.
Prepare a greased surface for setting the chikki.
In a pan, add 250 grams of jaggery and 2 tablespoons of water.
Cook on low flame until the jaggery dissolves and reaches a soft ball stage, checking every 2 minutes.
Once the jaggery is ready, add the roasted peanuts and mix well.
Turn off the heat and quickly pour the mixture onto the greased surface.
Grease the rolling pin and roll out the mixture to your desired thickness before it sets.
Allow the chikki to cool completely before cutting into pieces.
