2 green cabbages (3.5 lb total)
water for boiling the cabbages
2 cups Egyptian rice (or short grain rice)
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp Lebanese 7 spices (or allspice)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
2 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
1/3 cup olive oil
1 heaping tbsp tomato paste
Optional: 2 diced medium tomatoes
1/2 cup lemon juice
5 minced garlic cloves
2 tsp salt
8 cups water + 1 cup (added to dissolve the salt) + 1 cup (added while cooking in the end)
1 tbsp dried mint

3 medium tomatoes, sliced into circles
